3D-Printed Wheel Set (Sagged) for ZIS-5 by HobbyBoss
To make your ZIS-5 model truly convincing, we conducted in-depth research on the real vehicle’s wheels — studying photos, technical drawings, and available physical samples. This allowed us to reproduce them with maximum accuracy: every detail, curve, and imperfection closely matches the original.
3D printing allowed for a level of detail that’s simply not possible with traditional rubber wheels. The result? A clearly more realistic final model — with a lifelike appearance, a sense of mass and weight, and finely detailed tread and sidewalls.
This isn’t just a parts upgrade — it’s a whole new level of realism that makes your model look like a true miniature copy of a front-line military truck.

ZIS-5 — The Workhorse of the Red Army During WWII
The ZIS-5 was a robust 4×2 military truck produced in the USSR from 1933 to 1948. It became one of the key logistical vehicles of the Red Army during World War II. Based on American truck designs and adapted for Soviet conditions, the ZIS-5 was known for its simplicity, durability, and versatility.
Used on the front lines and in postwar reconstruction, nearly one million units were produced. With its 3-ton payload capacity, mixed wood-and-metal construction, and a proven 6-cylinder engine, the ZIS-5 became a true icon of Soviet engineering and wartime resilience.
Even today, it remains highly valued among collectors, restorers, and modelers worldwide.
Wheel Installation
The wheels install without any modification onto the standard mounting points of parts A25 and A3.
We recommend sanding the support contact points with fine-grit sandpaper for optimal results.
