3D-Printed Wheel Set (Ordinary) for U.S. Willys MB with Universal Mount

To make your U.S. Willys MB model truly convincing, we conducted in-depth research on the original wheels of this legendary jeep — studying reference photos, blueprints, and available physical samples. This allowed us to reproduce them with maximum accuracy: every detail, curve, and imperfection precisely reflects the real vehicle.

3D printing enables a level of detail that simply can’t be achieved with traditional rubber wheels. The result? A significantly more realistic effect on your finished model — a lifelike appearance, a sense of weight and mass, and highly detailed treads and sidewalls.

This isn’t just a parts swap — it’s a new level of realism that transforms your model into a miniature replica of the iconic all-terrain military jeep.

Willys MB – The Legendary WWII Military Jeep

The Willys MB is the legendary light utility vehicle of World War II, widely recognized as the original U.S. Army jeep. Produced between 1941 and 1945 by Willys-Overland and Ford, it was designed for off-road mobility, rapid deployment, and rugged reliability in combat conditions.
With its 4×4 drivetrain, flat hood, and robust construction, it became a symbol of American engineering and military strength. Over 600,000 units were manufactured and served in Europe, Africa, and the Pacific theater.
Today, the Willys MB remains one of the most iconic military vehicles in history — beloved by collectors, restorers, and scale modelers around the world.

Wheel Installation

The wheels feature a universal mounting point with a central 1 mm guide hole, designed to help you center the part accurately when drilling with a hand drill.
Drilling recommendations for specific brands:

  • Tamiya – We recommend enlarging both wheel mounts with a 2 mm drill bit, which aligns perfectly with the kit’s axles.

  • Meng – Use a 2 mm bit for the front wheels and a 1.5 mm bit for the rear.
