M2 Browning — A WWII Battlefield Icon
The M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun entered service in the early 1930s and quickly became one of the most iconic and versatile heavy machine guns of World War II.
Used by infantry, mounted on vehicles, aircraft, and defensive positions, the M2 proved its effectiveness through unmatched reliability, firepower, and adaptability.
Its long service life — continuing well beyond WWII — makes the M2 Browning an essential element for historically accurate Allied dioramas and vehicle builds.
Model Assembly
All parts are printed on two carriers, and you can choose between mounting the model on a tripod or using the M23 cradle.
Before assembly, carefully remove the required parts from the supports and clean up the attachment points with fine-grit sandpaper.
Option 1: Tripod-mounted
Step 1: Install the support parts and the M2 Browning itself onto the tripod.
Step 2: Assemble the ammunition box in the open position. Insert the dummy ammunition into the box. Glue the box handle to the edge of the lid so that it naturally hangs downward.
Step 3: Glue the ammunition belt.
Step 4: Insert the ammunition belt into the corresponding slot on the machine gun.
Step 5 (optional): If desired, you may assemble the additional ammunition box in either the open or closed position.
Option 2: M23 cradle mount
Step 1: Assemble the M23 mount with the support arm and the ammunition box.
Step 2: Install the M2 Browning together with the ammunition belt.
Step 3: Install the retaining mechanism over the ammunition so that it rests against the outside of the ammunition box.
Step 4 (optional): If desired, you may assemble the additional ammunition box in either the open or closed position.
The set includes:
M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun
Tripod, two mounting parts, and an adapted ammunition belt
M23 cradle mount with support, an alternative adapted ammunition belt, and a retaining mechanism
Parts for assembling two .50 caliber ammunition boxes with lids and handles, as well as one dummy ammunition insert for the box
