3D-Printed Wheel Set (Sagged and Ordinary) for D-30 by Trumpeter

To make your model of the legendary D-30 howitzer from Trumpeter even more realistic, we created a set of highly detailed 3D-printed wheels that includes two standard wheels (ordinary) and two wheels with a sagged effect. This combination allows you to realistically convey the weight of the gun and achieve an accurate stance of the carriage, whether in a diorama or a display model, in both combat and transport positions.

Each component was designed based on real-life prototypes: we carefully studied photographs, blueprints, and technical documentation to faithfully reproduce the tread pattern, sidewall details, and rim structure. High-quality resin 3D printing ensures precise geometry and detail far beyond what standard kit wheels can provide.

This set will be a striking addition to your D-30 model, enhancing its historical accuracy and realism.

D-30 — The Versatile Soviet Howitzer

The 122 mm D-30 howitzer was developed in the Soviet Union in the late 1950s and entered service in the 1960s. Its unique three-leg carriage design provides a wide traverse range, while its compact size and robust construction made it one of the most widely produced towed artillery systems in the world.

The D-30 has seen action in numerous armed conflicts and remains in service with the armed forces of many countries today. Thanks to its ease of maintenance, durability, and impressive firepower, the D-30 became a symbol of Soviet artillery design and a benchmark for versatile towed howitzers.

Wheel installation

The wheels can be mounted on the standard attachment points of parts C19 and C21 of Trumpeter kits without any additional modifications.

We recommend sanding the support contact points with fine-grit sandpaper.
