Set of 3D-Printed TRAK GRIP 12.00-20 Weighted Wheels for FV-603 Saracen by Airfix in 1:35 scale

To improve the realism and overall appearance of your FV603 Saracen armored vehicle model, we created a highly detailed set of 3D-printed TRAK GRIP 12.00-20 wheels.
The wheel sets are available in two versions:
- Ordinary Wheels — for a clean and balanced appearance suitable for factory-condition or lightly weathered vehicles;
- Weighted Wheels — featuring realistic tire deformation to recreate the mass and stance of the armored vehicle.
Each wheel accurately reproduces the distinctive tread pattern, sidewall geometry, and characteristic proportions of the original TRAK GRIP 12.00-20 military tires used on the FV603 Saracen armored personnel carrier.
During development, original reference photographs and technical materials were carefully studied to capture authentic wheel geometry and surface details.
Thanks to high-resolution resin 3D printing technology, the wheels feature crisp detailing, sharp edges, and precision far beyond standard plastic kit parts.
The wheel sets are designed for:
- Airfix FV603 Saracen kits in 1/35 scale;
- ACE FV603 Saracen kits in 1/72 scale.
These sets provide an excellent realism upgrade for Cold War armored vehicle projects, British military vehicle collections, and realistic military dioramas.
FV603 Saracen — British armored personnel carrier
The FV603 Saracen was a British six-wheeled armored personnel carrier developed during the Cold War period for troop transport and internal security operations.
Its large TRAK GRIP 12.00-20 off-road tires provided excellent mobility across rough terrain and became one of the vehicle’s most recognizable visual features.
The Saracen served with British and international forces for decades and remains an iconic example of post-war British armored vehicle engineering.
Wheels installation
The wheels are designed to fit directly onto the standard mounting points of Airfix kits without any additional modifications.
We recommend sanding the contact points where supports were attached with fine-grit sandpaper for the best finish.
Hollow Wheel Design
The wheels are hollow. For technical reasons, a small drainage holes are present, which are easily sealed with a special plugs included with each wheel. The plugs are located directly on the print platform behind the wheel.
