3D-printed Wheel Set (Sagged) for Alvis FV622 Stalwart Mk.2 by Airfix

To make your model of the legendary British off-road vehicle Alvis FV622 Stalwart Mk.2 look even more realistic, we created a set of highly detailed 3D-printed wheels available in two versions and in 72 & 35 scales:

  • Ordinary wheels — for a clean, parade-ready appearance;
  • Sagged wheels — to reproduce the vehicle’s weight

The photopolymer 3D-printing technology ensures crisp detailing and a quality level impossible to achieve with standard plastic kit wheels.
Each element precisely replicates the shape of the rims, tread pattern, and sidewall details of the original Stalwart tires. We carefully studied photographs, blueprints, and technical documentation to capture the authentic geometry and proportions of the real vehicle.
They make an excellent finishing touch for your model, adding realism, weight, and the true character of a heavy military machine.

Alvis FV622 Stalwart Mk.2 — the unique amphibious truck of the British Army

The Alvis Stalwart, or FV622, is a six-wheeled amphibious all-terrain vehicle developed in the United Kingdom in the late 1950s as part of the Alvis FV600 armored vehicle family. Its primary role was to deliver cargo and fuel to hard-to-reach areas where other vehicles could not operate.

The vehicle featured full-time 6×6 drive, water-jet propulsion for amphibious movement, a powerful Rolls-Royce B81 petrol engine, and a payload capacity of about 5 tons. The Stalwart was renowned for its exceptional mobility and durability, becoming a recognizable symbol of British engineering ingenuity.

With its distinctive design and versatility, the Stalwart remains one of the most fascinating and charismatic military vehicles of the Cold War era — a true highlight in any model collection.

Wheel installation

The wheels are designed to fit directly onto the standard mounting C52-57 points of Airfix kits without any additional modifications.
We recommend sanding the contact points where supports were attached with fine-grit sandpaper for the best finish.
