3D-Printed Wheel Set (Ordinary) for BRDM-2 by Trumpeter
To make your BRDM-2 model truly convincing, we conducted an in-depth study of the real armored vehicle’s wheels — analyzing photographs, technical drawings, and physical samples. This allowed us to recreate them with maximum precision: every detail, curve, and imperfection accurately reflects the real design.
3D printing enables a level of detail that’s simply not achievable with traditional rubber wheels. The result? A noticeably more realistic look on your finished model — a lifelike appearance, the impression of weight and mass, and high-resolution detailing of the tread and sidewalls.
This is more than just a parts upgrade — it’s a new level of realism that transforms your model into a true miniature replica of an actual armored fighting vehicle.
Spare Wheel
Installing the spare wheel is optional.
It’s most commonly mounted on the turret, secured with cables through dedicated eyelets located on the turret itself. In some versions, it may also be fixed to the rear of the hull.

BRDM-2 — Soviet Amphibious Reconnaissance Vehicle
The BRDM-2 (Boyevaya Razvedyvatelno-Dozornaya Mashina — Combat Reconnaissance Patrol Vehicle) is a Soviet 4×4 amphibious armored scout car developed in the 1960s as a replacement for the BRDM-1. It features a sealed hull, NBC protection system, night vision devices, and a turret-mounted heavy machine gun. The BRDM-2 significantly improved reconnaissance effectiveness and crew survivability in combat environments.
Thanks to its reliability and versatility, the BRDM-2 is still in service with more than 30 countries worldwide, used for reconnaissance, patrol, and light combat roles.
Wheel Installation
The wheels fit directly onto the standard mounting points for parts C34/35 and A4 without modification.
We recommend lightly sanding the support contact areas with fine-grit sandpaper for best results.
